Why Are Computers So Important?

Computers make up a large proportion of our day to day lives and business practices. Without them, we would not have an efficient means by which to collate informaiton electronically and access a worldwide search engine at the click of a button.

But why are computers so important? Computers are important because they allow us to do so many things, via one piece of equipment. One day, i sincerely believe we will become so reliant on computers that any form of walking will become unnecessary. We can order food online, book holidays, buy anything we want from anywhere in the world and it is all so easy. Computers are important because without them, how would online businesses cope?! Some companies trade solely on the Internet and have built up a successful business without even having office premises. Imagine if Facebook was gone - would people be able to manage without it?! Social communities and networks have been built up via the computer and we need these electronic devices in our lives.

However, what is interesting to note is that i think it is more the Internet that we cant live without these days, since you can access the web via phones and a whole host of gadgets, so maybe we are gradually making the computer take a back seat? Hmmm, only time will tell!
